I am having the same problem and the suggested action didn't help?

If anyone sees this, it'd be nice to add any known reason for the .mntcheck files to disappear. Itismike 21:57, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

It would be even nicer to know why these are required as it seems to be FOG specific rather than an NFS requirement.
